Super Green Smoothie

Serves: 1 smoothie
- 2 handfuls organic baby spinach
- ½ cup frozen berries [blueberries are my fave]
- ½ frozen, pre-peeled banana
- 1 Tbsp sunflower seed or almond butter [or ¼ ripe avocado – this adds extra creaminess]
- 1 serving high quality protein powder, optional [serving size will be labeled on product]
- 1 -2 cups filtered water [sometimes I will use cashew, coconut or almond milk if I have some on hand]
- [Optional Smoothie Extras]:
- 1 Tbsp chia seeds or ground flax seeds
- 1 Tbsp cacao nibs
- 1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 pitted date [for added sweetness]
- Place all ingredients in blender
- Blend and enjoy.
- You can add ice or increase/decrease amount of liquid used to reach desired consistency.
