If there’s one thing that you normally buy from the store, but tastes so much better homemade, it’s hummus! Honestly, if you don’t like store-bought hummus, I bet you’ll like it homemade so much better. And it’s ridiculously easy to make. All you do it throw all your ingredients into a food processor and process until creamy. Seriously easy, right?

Making Hummus

I love to have homemade hummus on hand in the fridge because it goes with so many different things. I use it as a veggie dip, a homemade cracker dip, on toast, sandwiches and by the spoonful. It’s that good.

And what’s not to love about a tasty snack that’s also good for you! Most of the time you’ll find questionable ingredients or refined vegetable oils in your store bought hummus. My homemade version uses the highest quality ingredients so you can feel good about eating it and feeding it to your family. Loaded with plant protein, healthy fats and flavor, this hummus will be a crowd pleaser, and it’s suitable for vegetarians and vegans, too!

Try bringing a batch to your next party and see how much you have left at the end of the night. And might I add, you might just want to make a double batch because chances are, it’ll go fast.

Also, if you’re feeling fancy, you can take this classic recipe and spice it up with roasted garlic, a roasted red bell pepper and/or different herbs and spices. And if you don’t have chickpeas on hand, try white beans instead. Both versions turn out creamy and delicious.
